This is a practical draft for the Toolio launch prize draw. The promotion is intended to be a free prize draw: there is no purchase, rental or payment required to enter. The planned dates remain placeholders until Toolio confirms successful beta testing.
1. Promoter
The promoter is Toolio Ltd trading as Toolio, company number SC895738, registered office at Ganymede, Pitnamoon, Laurencekirk, AB30 1ES ("Toolio", "we", "us" or "our").

2. Promotion period
The Toolio Launch Prize Draw (the "Prize Draw") is planned to open at 00:00 on 10 September 2026 and close at 23:59 on 10 October 2026 (the "Promotion Period"). All times are UK local time.
The dates above are provisional until Toolio confirms that beta testing has completed successfully and the promotion is formally launched. Once the Prize Draw has opened, Toolio will not change the closing date except where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this necessary and the change can be made fairly and lawfully.
3. Eligibility
The Prize Draw is open to individuals aged 18 or over whose residential address is within the AB postcode area and who hold an eligible Toolio account.
Directors, employees, contractors materially involved in administering the Prize Draw, and members of their immediate households are not eligible to enter.
No purchase, rental or payment is necessary to enter.
4. How to enter
Entry is automatic for eligible Toolio users. No separate competition form is required.
An eligible user receives 1 entry for having an active Toolio account during the Promotion Period, provided the account remains active and eligible at the closing time.
An eligible user receives 1 additional entry for each Qualifying Power Tool Listing on their Toolio account at the closing time, up to a maximum of 5 additional listing entries.
The maximum number of entries is therefore 6 per person: 1 account entry plus up to 5 qualifying listing entries.
Eligible beta testers who already hold an active Toolio account, and eligible qualifying listings already live on Toolio when the Prize Draw opens, may count on the same basis as accounts and listings created during the Promotion Period.
An eligible user who does not wish to participate may opt out by emailing support@toolioapp.co.uk before the closing time.
5. Qualifying Power Tool Listings
For these Terms, a "Qualifying Power Tool Listing" means a genuine listing for a distinct powered tool or powered item of equipment that is accepted on Toolio and complies with the Toolio Marketplace Terms and Conditions.
A qualifying item may be powered by mains electricity, a rechargeable or replaceable battery, compressed air, petrol or another engine or motor. Ordinary hand tools and non-powered accessories do not qualify.
The listing must relate to a real item that the entrant owns or is lawfully entitled to offer for rental, must contain the information and photographs reasonably required by Toolio, and must not be misleading, fictitious, duplicate or created solely to manipulate the Prize Draw.
Multiple listings of the same physical tool count as one listing only. A listing that is deleted, suspended, rejected or otherwise no longer live at the closing time does not count. A genuine listing that is temporarily unavailable because of a booking or ordinary availability settings may still count if the listing itself remains live.
Toolio may make reasonable checks to confirm that an account or listing is genuine and eligible. Entries may be withheld where the qualifying criteria are not met.
6. Prize
There will be 1 winner.
The winner may choose 1 of the following Toolio launch prizes:
Toolio intends to purchase the winner's selected prize after the winner has been validated and has confirmed their choice. Retail prices may change and are not part of the prize description.
There is no cash alternative.
If the selected model becomes unavailable for reasons outside Toolio's reasonable control, Toolio may provide a reasonable equivalent of equal or greater value, from the same manufacturer where reasonably possible.
7. Winner selection
After the Promotion Period closes, Toolio will validate the eligible accounts and listing entries and create the final entry list.
Each valid entry will have an equal chance of winning.
The winner will be selected at random within 7 days after the closing date using a computer process that produces verifiably random results. Toolio will retain an appropriate record of the entry list and selection process.
If Toolio does not use a verifiably random computer process, the selection will instead be carried out by, or under the supervision of, an independent person.
8. Winner notification and validation
Toolio will contact the provisional winner using the email address associated with their Toolio account within 7 days after the winner is selected.
Toolio may ask the provisional winner to provide reasonable evidence of age, AB-area residence, account eligibility and, where relevant, the authenticity of qualifying listings before the prize is awarded.
If the provisional winner does not respond, Toolio will make at least one further reasonable attempt to contact them. If the winner has not responded within 14 days of the first notification, is not eligible, or has materially breached these Terms, Toolio may withdraw the prize from that person and select a replacement winner using the same random process.
Toolio will never require a winner to pay a fee to claim the prize.
9. Prize delivery
The winner will be asked to confirm their chosen prize and a suitable UK delivery or collection arrangement.
Toolio will normally provide the prize within 30 days after the winner has been validated and has confirmed their prize choice and delivery details.
The prize is non-transferable unless Toolio agrees otherwise in writing.
10. Winner information
To demonstrate that a valid award has taken place, Toolio may publish or make available on request limited winner information, ordinarily the winner's surname and county or region.
Entrants may object to publication of this information, or ask Toolio to reduce the amount of information made available, by contacting support@toolioapp.co.uk. Toolio may still provide relevant information to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to demonstrate that the Prize Draw was administered properly.
Any separate request for the winner to take part in photographs, social-media content or other publicity will be voluntary and is not a condition of receiving the prize.
11. Invalid entries and abuse
Toolio may reject or remove entries where it reasonably believes there has been fraud, duplicate or fictitious accounts, duplicate or fake listings, automated entry, false information, manipulation of the entry mechanism, or another material breach of these Terms or the Toolio Marketplace Terms and Conditions.
Toolio will apply these rules reasonably and consistently and will not withhold a prize merely because it would prefer another entrant to win.
12. Personal information
Personal information used to administer the Prize Draw will be handled in accordance with the Toolio Privacy Notice, which will be available at https://www.toolioapp.co.uk/privacy.
Information may be used as reasonably necessary to identify eligible entries, prevent abuse, select and contact the winner, validate eligibility, arrange the prize, keep an audit record of the promotion, and meet legal or regulatory requirements.
Participation in the Prize Draw does not by itself amount to consent to receive marketing communications.
13. Changes, suspension or cancellation
Toolio may suspend, cancel or amend the Prize Draw only where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this necessary or where a change is required by law, regulation or a platform provider.
Where a material change is necessary after the Prize Draw has opened, Toolio will take reasonable steps to communicate the change clearly and to avoid unfairly disadvantaging entrants.
14. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, and nothing affects an entrant's statutory rights.
Toolio is not responsible for failures caused by events outside its reasonable control, including widespread network, hosting or platform outages, but will take reasonable steps to administer the Prize Draw fairly if such an event affects entries.
15. Third-party brands and platforms
The Prize Draw is promoted by Toolio Ltd and is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Screwfix, Makita, DeWalt, Milwaukee, Meta, Facebook, Instagram, Google or Apple.
Manufacturer and retailer names and trade marks are used only to identify the advertised prize options.
16. General
These Prize Draw Terms are separate from the Toolio Marketplace Terms and Conditions. The Marketplace Terms continue to apply to use of the Toolio platform and to tool listings.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
Toolio's failure to enforce a provision immediately does not waive its right to enforce it later.
17. Governing law and courts
These Terms are governed by Scots law.
If an entrant is a consumer, nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory right they may have to bring proceedings in another court where applicable consumer law gives them that right.
